Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

Well i feel like i have been here for weeks. Whenever i walk into different classrooms the kids yell madame Shelby madame Shelby are you teaching us today?!? I love it. I learned some french the other day and today Lebene tried to get me to sit in on his Fante class, its an african language, but i knew i would not learn anything so i went and took some kids out to the field for pe. Today was a furnace outside. I think i burnt the back of my neck. The group that was here painting from Harding left this afternoon. So now its just us in our house and 3 lipscomb people in the other guest house. We all get along quite well which is nice. We went and had a meeting with Fred Asare not too long ago about our future plans. We are going up north to Nkwatia for 3 weeks and then coming back to the Village on June 30. He did have us there for a whole month but I said no no no! and he was nice enough to be completely flexible...thank the Lord. I had enough trouble spending two and a half weeks there last year, but a whole month oh heavens no.

Last night I was out under the mango tree watching the kids pick them to prepare them for when they are ripe. I was talking to Zach, one of the guys from acu, and Shiabu. Shiabu told zach that i was one of his best friends. He said the reason why was from last year and he told our first meeting conversation pretty much word to word. I was really suprised, but it was sweet. He told me last night he really dreams of coming to school in bmerica. I told him anything is possible if you commit. I think once I get back home I am going to make a jar with his name on it and put all my extra change I get in it....it'll add up after awhile. All he needs is a plane ticket here and his visa. I just love each one of these kids in their own individual way. Shine and Lebene walked me home today, each telling me what they learned in school today, one being how to prepare yams. haha if only school back home were that easy!

So when kids cut their grass here, they use machettes and they let me try today. Ultimate fail on my part haha but after many laughs and lessons, i got a good swing in. Well it's about dinner time, then off to devotion at the kids house thennnnnnn prestoncrest boys house have been begging me to bring my computer to them so they can watch a movie. So i promised them tonight was the night.

I still hope everything back home is doing good. Plenty of sunshine :]
Sending my love from Ghana
